Sarah Reyes Haakonsen, O.D.

Dr. Sarah R. Haakonsen earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry, in Boston Massachusetts in 1990 and has served the Southern California area for the past 15 years, in various clinical settings in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Ventura counties. Her experience includes an internship and clinical training in ocular disease at Omni Eye Services in Baltimore, Maryland and the Veterans Administration Medical Clinic in Boston. She has gained advanced certification and demonstrates expertise in the use of state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques to deliver comprehensive and accurate eye care. Dr. Haakonsen also has extensive clinical experience in contact lens fitting, spectacle dispensing and the use of DPA and TPA routinely in coordination with Ophthalmologists in general ophthalmology and refractive surgery, including LASIK. For seven years, she was the lead Optometrist at Mullikin Medical Center in Glendale, California. Dr. Haakonsen also holds a degree in Biology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Steven Lee, O.D.

Dr. Steven Lee practices comprehensive optometry with an emphasis in contact lens fittings. His expertise is in specialized contacts for patients with keratoconus and high refractive errors. He also has an extensive experience in fitting multifocal and monovision contacts.

He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry, in Chicago, Illinois in 1999. He also holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Santa Barbara. His experiences includes clinical rotations in pediatrics, low vision and vision therapy at Sydney Hillman Heathcare Center in Chicago, along with an internship at St. Albans/Brooklyn Veterans Admistration Medical clinic in St. Albans, New York.
